The Word of God says that Jesus came for the unsaved, for sinners. why? to set them free! to give them life instead of death! John 10:10 says ''The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly''.
the word repent means to acknowledge ones evil ways and to turn away from those ways and start following the ways of God. it means to forsake the path of doom {unrighteousness} and to come to God, in humility of heart and asking for forgiveness promising never to go back to sin.
God loves mankind but hates sin and iniquity. He loves humanity so much that he made a huge sacrifice by sending Jesus Christ to die for our sins! He made hell for the devil and the demons and fallen angels. but sadly mankind is going to hell. why? sin! sin! sin! Hebrews 12:14 says follow peace with all men and pursue Holiness for without which no man shall see God.
1st Peter 1:16 also says ''since it is written be ye holy for I am Holy''
We serve a holy God and so therefore we must live a holy life in order to please him. in Leviticus 19 vs 1 God says to the children to be holy because He The Lord their God, is a Holy God. what does it mean to be holy?? i will discuss that in another post if Jesus tarries. please if you are reading this right now and you aren't saved, don't harden your heart. repent and turn to Jesus today. He will forgive you of all your sins and heal your wounds.
