Who ever said that it is weird for Christians have enemies??? The Bible clearly tells us that whosoever decides to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus must surely be persecuted. Even our master The Lord Jesus Christ was persecuted beyond human comprehension. He had enemies too!!! How much more us his servants? Can a servant be greater than his master or a soilder greater than his General? The answer is Noooo!!!
So now that we have established that it is compulsory as children of God to have enemies, how do we handle our enemies??? Most people believe you have to use physical force in taking care of your enemies but we musnt forget who we are. The Word of God says that we are not of this world, we are just passing through. His word also tells us our enemy is the devil. So if the devil is our enemy and we arent of this world, then why should we use physically means in fighting him??
Note this, the devil uses men too. So the devil can possess a man and use him to fight you. This is why everyone must not allow themselves to be void of Jesus. when you are not in Christ, you make yourself
a potential tool of destruction in the hands of satan. There are so many ways to deal with our enemies and one of them is Prayer!!! Now there are different kinds of prayer one could say for their enemies but i want to elaborate on the prayer of asking God to bless you in the presence of your enemies and put hereby putting them to shame. We find this in the bible in psalms 86 and 23. When The Lord blesses you it is a wonderful thing but when He does it in the midst of those who hate you then you can be sure its going to be a spectacular event!
So start praying concerning your enemies according to The Word today. Dont use Physical means to fight them!!! It wont give you the right results. So go to The Lord today and Pray!
