Gods purpose prevails!

So many times we have our lives planned out. We get our sheets and pens out and spend a lot of time drawing up different step by step processes of how and when things should happen i our lives. for eg i know some young girls who by 16 would have planned to get married at 18 or 23, most time things dont go as planned not because our plans are bad ones but because they arent Gods will.

As His Creation we all must know that only the will of God prevails. We are the clay and God Almighty is the potter. We can do nothing on our own. thats why we must depend on him all the time. Jeremiah 29:11 says His thoughts towards us are of good not of evil, which means that when our plans correspond with Gods perfect will and purpose, we can be rest assured that things will go well.

Sometimes we need to ask ourselves this question...

DUTY OF A CHRISTIAN.

 

When i came across this on youtube, i knew i had to put it up here. what is our duty as children of God, who have been bought with a price far more expensive than any wealth of this world? What did Christ charge us with before he left? Read Matthew 28:18-20. digging deep into the scriptures we will discover that Christ has given us so many duties to perform before he comes back again to take us to where he is. We must obey his word to the letter.

Jesus is coming right away. He is coming like a thief in the night and he is coming with his reward to give unto every man according to his deeds. Rev 22:12. How will Jesus meet you? On guard at your duty post, watching and acting faithfully? or will you be carried away with the things of this world that you will forget who you are and what has been entrusted into your care? i pray that will never be your portion in Jesus name. Arise and be alert! He is coming!

God is a great God! He has made us after his own image and likeness. Most times we are nothing but unrefined gold in his hands. And just as the goldsmith doesnt stop filing the gold till he sees the reflection of his own image, so is it with God Almighty. So as we pass through the fire let us all hold on to his promises of never leaving nor forsaking us. deut 31:6. We must know that His thoughts towards us {Jer 29:11} are of good not of evil to give us an expected end. God cares for you and i. Hold on. Dont give up!

Today's Bible place.....The island of Patmos

Beautiful isnt it? well thats the island of patmos located inb the agean sea. The book of Revelation explicitly states that it was written while John was on the island of Patmos. This is the only book in the New Testament where the place of writing is given. According to a tradition preserved by Irenaeus, Eusebius, and Jerome, John was exiled in AD 95 during the reign of Emperor Domitian. His exile ended upon the accession of Nerva in 96.

What does it really mean to repent?

The Word of God says that Jesus came for the unsaved, for sinners. why? to set them free! to give them life instead of death! John 10:10 says ''The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly''. 
the word repent means to acknowledge ones evil ways and to turn away from those ways and start following the ways of God. it means to forsake the path of doom {unrighteousness} and to come to God, in humility of heart and asking for forgiveness promising never to go back to sin. 

God loves mankind but hates sin and iniquity. He loves humanity so much that he made a huge sacrifice by sending Jesus Christ to die for our sins! He made hell for the devil and the demons and fallen angels. but sadly mankind is going to hell. why? sin! sin! sin! Hebrews 12:14 says follow peace with all men and pursue Holiness for without which no man shall see God. 
1st Peter 1:16 also says ''since it is written be ye holy for I am Holy''

We serve a holy God and so therefore we must live a holy life in order to please him. in Leviticus 19 vs 1 God says to the children to be holy because He The Lord their God, is a Holy God. what does it mean to be holy?? i will discuss that in another post if Jesus tarries. please if you are reading this right now and you aren't saved, don't harden your heart. repent and turn to Jesus today. He will forgive you of all your sins and heal your wounds.

Do You know the meaning of Gods Grace??

Most people talk about grace but not everyone understands what it really means. Grace is a gift from God to us. Ephesians 2:8-9 says For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
My first teaching on Grace was given by my pastor Prophet Elijah Oluwasogo. he taught us that Grace simply means God's riches at Christs expense. When we say riches we dont only mean material riches but spiritual riches as well and salvation is one of them.

When i came across this picture this scripture came to my heart!!!!  After further digging deep into the scriptures, i discovered 2 other verses with the same words! Psalm 144:1 and 2nd samuel 22:35!! Isnt our God awesome!!!

WHY SEEK A RISEN JESUS IN A TOMB?

I get so sad whenever i walk down the streets and i see people {orthodox believers) kneeling down beside the grave of a dead priest or past leader. you can see the sincere looks on their faces as they say a prayer for one need or the other. So many questions run through my mind almost immediately. Why do they do that? dont they know that there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved?

Dont they know that only Jesus can save them or forgive them of their sins? Dont they realize that He is no longer in the grave but is risen and sited at the right hand side of God Almighty in heaven? If you are in this category, please i beg you to repent and stop now! Jesus is not dead! He is not in a grave! Buddha, Muhammed, Charles T russell all died and got corrupted in the grave! But Jesus did not! on the 3rd day he arose and conquered death forever and ever! Seek Him daily but not in the grave.

10 THINGS GOD WONT ASK YOU FOR ON JUDGEMENT DAY

Dont be deceived, or carried away with the things of this world! When you stand before the judgement throne of God, all your riches and wealth on earth will never matter! None of your titles will matter either! only 2 things will matter, If you were genuinely born again and how you lived your life on earth. When i came across this clip i knew that i just had to put it up here! Be blessed as you watch!

Ask for the Breathe of Life.

Sometimes all we need is for God to breathe his spirit into our lives. Genesis 2:7 says that after God created Adam that he breathed into him, the breathe of life!!! and then it goes on to tell us that Adam became a living soul! when the breath of God gets into you, life will return!

My very first post!

Praise the lord!!! i am so excited! this is my very first post on Saved By His Mercy.  Jesus said '' Go therefore into all the nations and make disciples teaching them to observe all that i have commanded you'' matt 28:19.  As Christians Christ wants us to win souls for his Kingdom. This is the great commission he gave us as e was leaving the earth. Thanks to technology we can now reach out to thousands of people about the good news of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ; and we can do it right from our bedrooms! Hurry up People of God! Our lord approaches! lets get ready for His coming!
